3 new centers of EBSO were put into service with ceremony

The library named after Cemal Dirin on the 3.floor of Aegean Region Chamber of Industry (EBSO), Naci Ulusoğlu R&D Centre and Aytaç Sefiloğlu Press Centre were inaugurated with ceremonies. İzmir Deputy Governor Fethi Özdemir, EBSO Assembly Chairman Ender Yorgancılar, Executive Committee President Tamer Taşkın, EBSO Assembly ex-Chairmen Şinasi Ertan and Kemal Çolakoğlu, Economy Correspondents Association İzmir Branch management and journalists took part in the ceremony.
EBSO Assmebly President Ender Yorgancılar speaking in the opening ceremony of renewed Aytaç Sefiloğlu Press Centre said they were proud of making the name of EBSO Press Advisor Aytaç Sefiloğlu who died at work, live on.
Macit Sefiloğlu, spouse of Aytaç Sefiloğlu having said that they always felt the support of EBSO during sickness of her spouse, told “Aegean Region Chamber of Industry was always by our side to alleviate our pain. Renewal and inauguration of press centre, shows once again the importance attached to journalists by this institution”.
CEMAL DİRİN LIBRARY
Nihat Dirin, son of Cemal Dirin, speaking in the inauguration of library named after EBSO Executive Committee ex-Member Cemal Dirin said they considered the library inaugurated under assembly decision as a gift.
Ender Yorgancılar, speaking in the inauguration of library, emphasised that Cemal Dirin had significant contributions in the development of EBSO.

TEZMAKSAN: Could you give some information about establishment and development of Dirinler Machinery?
Dirinler Machinery, established in 1952 with the purpose of producing mechanical parts for the automotive industry, manufactured the first milling for its own requirement in 1955. Dirinler Machinery, also producing carpentry machinery between the years 1962-1964, made production of plane (mule) between the years 1966-1978 first for its own requirement, then for domestic market. Dirinler Machinery, having started production of eccentric press from 1967, set up its own iron foundry in 1974 for meeting its own requirements, upon low quality and delayed deliveries of suppliers of iron foundry products used in press production and obtained from domestic market. Dirinler Machinery, manufacturing lathe between 1983-1988 and starting to produce Hydraulic Press in 1993, is the press manufacturer that was the first to acquire “UVV” in 1985 and “CE” certificates in 1994 in Turkey. Dirinler Group, feels rightful pride of serving all of its clients both domestic and abroad with six companies in total.
TEZMAKSAN: Could you give information regarding competition and problems in the sector?It is not possible to compete with almost all of 200 press manufacturers in our country. It is because, a large part of press manufacturers producing under the title of manufacturer are making non-standard and low quality manufacture with primitive methods which we call as “under-stair” and certainly, they effect sales of not only us but also other press producer companies. One of our important problems in the sector, is that domestic press users in the country find domestic press more expensive with respect to second hand press, so they import used press from formerly Eastern European countries, primarily from Russia, then they repair and revise them and/or pay more than the amount they would pay for new press, change electrical, electronic, Pneumatic and hydraulic parts either partially or completely to attempt to turn them into a new press.
TEZMAKSAN: What are your short and long term targets?
Our short term targets
o Delivering our orders always in time to provide customer satisfaction in all products we produced and we will produce,
o Maintaining our leadership which we preserved in the market for years despite a fall in profitability in a great competitive environment in the country, because it is a business taken over from father, to maintain our current leadership,
o Never to give up our leadership in the market and increasing the amounts of production, reaching sufficient profits in order to serve our industry for many years to come in this sector,
Our long term targets;
o Benefiting from proposals and contribution of our employees, customers, suppliers in the best manner for adaptation of our products to present-day technologies, therefore developing our products,
o Creating new business opportunities to members coming from behind of Dirinler Group, starting to become a rather large family as it gradually grows, continually develops with its technical and administrative employees, proliferates each day with its employees,
o As the number one of market regarding quality production and sales of CNC lathe, drill and other products which it started production with the new business opportunities it has created, attempting to maintain our mission in these fields too.
TEZMAKSAN: What is the reason of preference of you for your customers? The reasons customers prefer us, are I think our reliability in the market, permanent innovation by adapting to technology and developing ourselves, accessing customers instantly to give technical support, our permanency in our production quality, long years of service and spare part guarantee and our stability in prices.
TEZMAKSAN: How long have you been working with Tezmaksan?
We have been working with Tezmaksan from the day it was established and we have been closely following developments continually.
TEZMAKSAN: Why did you prefer Tezmaksan?
The reason we are working with Tezmaksan and we prefer them is that they earned love, respect and confidence of customers and suppliers like Dirinler Machinery with their experienced and expert team and without changing their line for years.
TEZMAKSAN: What are your considerations about Tezmaksan?
Working with Tezmaksan is not trading but earning a friend. Whoever goes to Tezmaksan, he receives love, respect and esteem from the moment he goes enters into its gate, it does not require being a customer or acquaintance. You witness this love, respect, esteem and sympathy in all its employees from tea maker to boss. EBSO Executive Committee President Taşkın, visited Dirinler Machinery realising machine production in İzmir for more than half a century. Tamer Taşkın, emphasizing that sons of late Cemal Dirin, one of the pioneers of the sector successfully continue the duty they took over from their father, referred to production of “machine making machine” as a clear indicator of it…
Aegan Region Chamber of Industry Executive Committee President Tamer Taşkın, stated that machine industrialists came to a state to compete with their competitors in the international arena. Taşkın, stating that machine industrialists are not restive from arrival of machinery and lathes from abroad, said “The power of our industrialists is sufficient to beat their competitors abroad. Machinery are sent all over the world from İzmir”.
Dirinler Machinery Executive Committee President Mustafa Dirin, announced that upon demand of 50 thousand dollars of excess money and 3 months of delivery period while buying the second one of CNC Portal Milling lathe, which they previously bought from Taiwanese company, they produced the same machinery. Dirin, “When we exchanged opinion on the attitude of Taiwanese company with our engineer colleagues and employees, we found that we could make the same machine in our factory for much less as we consider one month period of dispatch. In fact, we had a project regarding production, therefore we made it earlier. Within 6 months, we produced machine with much superior technology than the one we imported from Taiwan. We will make the companies in Turkey as owner of machinery for a price much lower than import price”.
Loss of foreign exchange will be averted
Mustafa Dirin, saying that CNC Portal Miller lathe defined as ‘Machine making machine’ will create a new sector, said they also averted a great loss of foreign exchange with the help of realisation of production of machinery imported from Germany and Taiwan. Dirin, announcing that they will present the new machine to world market with the brand of DRINN’s, emphasised that they were so happy to produce such a machine in Turkey.
Used in all sectors
Dirin, referring to the fact that the machine they produce is used in sectors like automotive, defence industry producing various machinery, said “We received support from Turkey Technological Development Foundation in this project. Our market share started increasing with this new machinery. With this project, we are aiming at expanding CNC tool grinding product range and reaching a leading producer company position in our company in this respect. The machine provides performance of milling, holing, rigid, guide and hole enlargement chip manufacture processes in high sensitivity and high speed under long and heavy operation conditions”.
Much work in less time
Dirin, announcing that the new machine enabled making more parts in a shorter time, said the initiative of the operator is not needed either. Dirin, telling that CNC Portal Milling lathe could be adapted to many sectors with minor alterations, gave the following information: ‘This is very important for the machinery sector to produce technology. Turkey makes machinery import of 16 billion dollars per year. With the enticements to be given, domestic production could be supported as well. However enticement is insufficient. Desired results can not be obtained with tax enticement. We need to look for ways to increase this number. By these means, Turkey will not suffer from loss of foreign exchange, and new job opportunities are created for the unemployed.
